ABOUT
Rachel was born in the San Francisco Bay Area to a large Lebanese/Hawaiian/Irish family. She spent much of her childhood participating in local theater productions (her first musical being Sound of Music in second grade!), where she developed a deep appreciation for the power of the arts to build empathy and connection.
Rachel earned her degree in Theater Education from UCLA, where she honed her skills not only as a performer and director but also as a passionate advocate for equitable access to arts education. She has since worked in leadership roles at several non-profit organizations dedicated to bringing high-quality performing arts programming to Bay Area students in grades K–12.
One of Rachel’s favorite creative outlets is exploring the world of Shakespeare, both on the page and on the stage. Over the years, she’s performed in and directed quite a few Shakespeare productions, which has deepened her understanding of and appreciation for the heightened language.
When she’s not in the theater or classroom, Rachel enjoys winding down with a good book or indulging in the drama of The Bachelor franchise, which she considers its own kind of modern-day Shakespearean spectacle.
